Unit 3 (Friends and Neighbours)
*Needles:-
They are made of metal. They are small, with a metal body, one sharp end and a hole through the other end. We use them to sew with.

*Pliers:-
They are made of hard metal. They are heavy and have got handles and metal ends. We use them to hold or cut metal.

*Nails:-
They are made of hard metal. They are usually small and have got thin bodies with a sharp end. We use them fix pieces of wood together.

*Knives:-
Those ones are made of metal and wood. They have got wooden handles and sharp metal blades. We use them to cut food with.

*Scissors:-
These ones are made of metal and plastic. They have got handles and two metal blades. We use them to cut paper and clothes with.

*Hammer:-
It's made of metal and wood. It's got a wooden handle and metal head. It's used to hit nails.

*Saw:-
It's made of metal and wood. It's got a wooden handle and metal blade. It's used to cut wood.

*Drill:-
It's made of metal and plastic. It looks like a gun with a long needle. It's used to make holes.

•We use these to hit nails. Hammers.
•This is a tool which makes holes. Drill.
•We use these things to hold or cut metal. Pliers.
•This is a tool which has a sharp blade. Knife.
•We can cut wood with this tool. Saw.
•A useful tool when you have a hole in your clothes. Needle.
•Things which help fix wood together. Nails.
•A tool with two blades for cutting. Scissors.
•This is useful when you want to put sugar in tea. Spoon.
•A top of the house is called a roof.
•Carpenters use a lot of tools.
•Don't hold the knife by the blade. You might cut yourself.
