Helen Keller fell ill when she was two. After her illness she could smell, touch and taste things but she couldn’t see or hear. She became blind and deaf. Her life was difficult. Her teacher, Ann Sullivan taught her how to spell words with her hands but she couldn’t understand them. Later she learned to read Braille, special writing for blind. Helen became famous for her work for the deaf and blind.
